Fresh layoffs begin at Kennedy Center as closure continues

The Kennedy Center laid off more than a dozen employees Friday, according to three people familiar with the cuts who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The layoffs come as the center’s main building remains closed during a widening legal battle over President Donald Trump’s transformation of the national cultural institution.
