Contractor sentenced in fraud case for leaving asbestos

A suburban contractor was sentenced Thursday to more than 6 1/2 years in federal prison for causing a potential "environmental disaster" by leaving large amounts of cancer-causing asbestos material during the 2023 demolition of a Waukegan medical campus in order to line his own pockets.
