Facing the fallout: Downwinders push to expand nuclear compensation law

A proposed amendment to the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act, co-sponsored by New Mexico U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez would extend the filing deadline to 2043 and open eligibility to more New Mexico downwinders affected by atomic testing.
