US Congress moves closer to restoring access to popular small business bankruptcy program

Congress is moving to restore expanded access to a popular bankruptcy option for small businesses, with the US House of Representatives and Senate both passing bills to restore the program's debt-eligibility limit to $7.5 million after the higher threshold expired in 2024.
