Judge Nixes Dougherty Electric’s Surviving Post-Fraud Refund Bid

The Court of Federal Claims Friday dismissed the remainder of Dougherty Electric Inc.'s $1.53 million refund claim for interest and penalties it paid after the owner pleaded guilty to tax evasion because the company failed to state a viable claim.
