Montgomery County Planning Board supports council bill that waives fees, relaxes requirements for accessory dwelling units

Montgomery County is moving to make it easier to rent and less expensive to build accessory dwelling units (ADUs), with the Planning Board showing support on Thursday for proposed legislation that would waive permitting fees for affordable units and remove the owner-occupancy requirement.
