Lauren Simpson

Lauren Simpson was elected to serve a 4-year term as Mayor in the 2023 election, after having served from 2019 to 2023 as our City’s District 2 Councilmember. Mayor Simpson is committed to working on issues for which she campaigned: fighting for affordability, promoting local businesses and workers, and protecting our shared public spaces while “place-making” new ones for residents and visitors to enjoy. Lauren also seeks to be a voice for Arvada’s families and an advocate for her constituents in need. Lauren earned her bachelor’s with honors from Baylor University before moving to Washington, D.C. for a master’s degree in international relations from Catholic University.
