Stuart Hene

Stuart Hene was elected on June 13, 2026, as Mayor of Tyler. He is a native Tylerite and previously served as the District 1 councilmember from 2021 until his election in 2026. Stuart attended Rice Elementary, Hubbard Middle School, and Robert E. Lee High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Baylor University. He began his career at the Texas State Capitol and later worked on several local political campaigns. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he also received a Certificate in Business Law and Financial Services with a Commercial Law Concentration. Today, Stuart is the Co-Founder and Partner at Tarry & Hene, PLLC, and serves as President of Prestige Energy Consultants, an oil and gas consulting firm he operates alongside his father, Paul Hene.
