Meet Shirley, Our AI Research Assistant & Chief Editor.

Built on the U.S. Constitution, the Federalist Papers, every active bill in Congress, congressional votes, elected officials, and hundreds of thousands of public records, Shirley helps organize and summarize the information that powers KnowGov. Shirley also tracks major policy developments in the United States and around the world to explain why they matter.

Complex government information is translated into clear, easy-to-understand language while preserving its original meaning. Every summary includes links to the original sources, so you can always check the receipts.

Shirley doesn't tell you what to think, just helps you understand the facts.
